Asphalt Batch Plant Operator

A Fantastic Opportunity to join a highly regarded Asphalt Company experiencing growth, located in Muswellbrook.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of Plant Operation including, but not limited to the following:

Position Summary:

  • Measuring and mixing asphalt material
  • Effective document control
  • Daily plant maintenance
  • Scheduling deliveries in and out
  • Liaise with external and internal laboratory staff
  • Ensure Quality Control
  • Provide a high level of customer service 
  • Manage the daily operation of plant and road crew
  • Promoting and sustaining a Zero Harm Environment

To be successful in this role you must possess:

  • Minimum 3 Years of experience operating an Asphalt Plant
  • Familiarity with NATA Laboratories and/or be a NATA Accredited Tester
  • Front End Loader competency
  • Knowledge of Asphalt Mix Design
  • Strong Safety Focus
  • Be outcome focused and have a strong work ethic
  • Possess the ability to liaise with all levels of staff
  • Excellent communication skills and professionalism
  • Be adaptable to change
  • A current driver’s License
  • A willingness to work shift work and the ability to work weekends when required
  • Competent with technology
  • Reliability

Bitumen Sprayer Driver

Newpave Asphalt is proud to be an independent, locally owned and operated Australian asphalt company, located in the Hunter Valley Region.

We are currently seeking a Bitumen Sprayer Driver to join our Sealing Crew.

To be successful in this role you must possess:

  • Minimum 3 of years experience operating a Bitumen Sprayer 
  • Dangerous Goods Licence
  • Minimum HR Licence, HC or MC an advantage
  • Strong Safety Focus 
  • Ability to accurately complete paperwork
  • Able to work unsupervised in a small team environment
  • A willingness to work shift work and weekends when required
  • Ability to Quality Control your own work
  • Reliability

Aggregate Spreader Truck Driver

We are currently seeking an Aggregate Spreader Truck Driver to join our Newcastle team.

To be successful in this role you must possess:

  • Minimum 2 of years experience operating a Spreader Truck
  • Minimum HR Licence, HC or MC an advantage
  • Strong Safety Focus 
  • Ability to accurately complete paperwork
  • Able to work unsupervised in a small team environment
  • A willingness to work shift work and weekends when required
  • Ability to Quality Control your own work
  • Reliability

Newpave Asphalt is currently seeking an experienced HC driver to join our company. If successful in your application, you will be driving one of Newpave’s modern prime movers with a live bottom trailer. Duties will include, but not be limited to:

  • Collecting profiled material, “under the mill”, and taking to stockpile sites
  • Delivering asphalt from the plant to paving crews
  • Delivering quarry products to our asphalt plant
  • General house keeping

To be successful, candidates must have:

  • Current HC licence or higher
  • Ability to work weekends, nightshift and overtime
  • Excellent reversing skills
  • Construction Induction (white card)

Previous asphalt experience will be highly regarded.

The position is based out of Tomago, NSW. Successful candidates must be able to pass regular drug and alcohol screening and a medical assessment.

Newpave is currently seeking a Civil Engineering student who is looking to broaden their skills and experience in the road construction industry. This is a part-time position.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Liaise with customer representatives
  • Assist with estimating and tendering
  • Attend site coordination meetings
  • Coordinate subcontractors

The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • Contract administration skills
  • Highly effective planning and organisational skill
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised
  • Drivers licence and own transport
