In 2015 we commissioned a new state-of-the-art asphalt batch plant at Tomago, NSW. The batch plant was designed and built by Benninghoven. They are internationally renowned for producing plants that achieve optimum mix quality and consistency.

Our batch plant produces over 200 tonnes per hour with up to 140 tonnes of hot asphalt storage. It has the most advanced and innovative technology available. As a result, we can produce specialty mixes that other asphalt plants cannot manufacture, including warm mix asphalt using foamed bitumen technology.

We believe you need the best equipment to achieve the best result. We’ve invested heavily in our fleet with the latest Caterpillar tracked and wheeled pavers, material transfer vehicles, rollers, and live bottom asphalt haulage trailers.

Above all, our client relationships are important to us.

We produce specialty mixes that most other asphalt plants cannot manufacture, including superior-performing warm mix asphalt using foamed bitumen technology.

Newpave is a leading producer and supplier of asphalt in the Hunter Region. We provide asphalt laying services for governments, local councils, commercial and residential clients.

Asphalt is made in a plant combining aggregate and sand which is heated to remove moisture. Bitumen is then added to complete the manufacturing process.

Asphalt can be recycled and reused in the production process of new asphalt. Newpave has approved designs and mixes with Transport NSW with up to 25% recycled asphalt pavement (RAP) in production. Newpave is also a licensed facility for the manufacture of mixes utilising crumbed rubber, recycled glass and slag.

Spray Seal

Newpave provides bitumen spray seal, a faster and more economical alternative to asphalt, ideal when you need to surface or restore medium to light trafficked roads.

The spray sealing process starts with spraying a layer of bituminous binder to a prepared surface then covered with a layer of aggregate.

The binder acts as a waterproof layer to prevent water from entering the surface below.

This process is faster and can be a cost-saving alternative over asphalt for light trafficked roads.

Road stabilisation is an efficient way to recycle old surface materials and improve existing roads. Newpave uses state-of-the-art Caterpillar road stabilising equipment to achieve quality results that last.

Stabilisation and recycling materials for pavement construction and maintenance is performed as a cost effective method of improving long term performance and reducing costs for heavily utilised roadways.

Ex-bin asphalt sales are available in any quantity to suit any project. Newpave also sells emulsion and cold mix products to anyone from homeowners for DIY projects to large projects for civil contractors and other asphalt laying contractors.

Transporting materials is a core part of our business. We haul a wide range of materials and equipment across the Central Coast, Hunter and New England.

We haul anything from asphalt and aggregates to heavy haulage float operations. Our diverse fleet of trucks and a highly trained team of drivers are ready to go.

Road Test Run

To comply with contract specifications and ensure a smooth ride a roughness (NAASRA) measurement is applied to roading.

We provide NAASRA assessment using a ROMDAS Roughness Profiler. it has two-point lasers positioned over the wheel paths. These lasers provide either left, right or both wheel path and lane IRI as well as NAASRA count and raw longitudinal road profile data.

Contact Newpave to book a NAASRA assessment.
